Sheds By Design Installation Agreement
Wide Load Delivery is FREE for 100 miles! Beyond that, wide load delivery is custom quoted based on customers address. Buildings up to 12’ wide do not require escort vehicles, buildings 14’ feet wide require at least 1 escort vehicle, 2 escort vehicles may be required on certain routes or when crossing state lines. Any mileage or escort vehicle cost will be added to quote and require your approval before sale is finalized.
Delivery Estimates for Stock Sheds or Custom Order Sheds are approximate estimates. If we are unable to contact you (No response to calls & text messages) to confirm an available delivery day, delivery time will be extended beyond the initial estimated delivery range! Rainy weather / Saturated lawns, DOT restrictions such as wide-load shed hauling on holidays, or waiting on customers to prepare shed sites can extend Lead Times. If only a particular day of the week works to receive shed, instead of any day of the week, that can also extend delivery beyond estimated range. If a customer rejects an available delivery day based on their schedule or the weather, lead time will be extended from the original delivery estimate!
You will be given a time range, once the day of delivery is established, that the Delivery Specialist will be there from 8-12 AM or 12-4 PM the next day. Please be there during that time range so Delivery Specialists can proceed when they arrive with your building. The First 2 Hours of setup time are complementary! Labor charges apply beyond the First 2 Hours of setup time, and are calculated upon the arrival of the Delivery Specialist on property. Client agrees to be present, on site, to direct Delivery Specialists when they arrive, so there is no wait time, and to help keep Installations on Schedule. Most shed installations take 1 hour!
If you need advanced notice to take time off work, we can work with you. But please note, all delivery day estimates are weather permitting! If we give a 2-3 day scheduling notice, rather than a standard day-before scheduling notice, there is a higher chance of rain (and wet yards) happening in between the scheduling notice and tentative day of delivery! If a saturation rain were to happen, we would need to wait at least 3-5 days, from the rain stopping, for your yard to dry out before re-attempting to schedule a delivery day!
Due to Insurance reasons, we do not move or haul away other brands of sheds! We can refer you to Shed Movers to move, or Structure Demolition Services to demolish your old shed prior to your new building installation!
It is the responsibility of the Buyer to obtain any Applicable Permits! If building requires anchoring, anchor packages are $299 and include 4 Anchors & Installation when bundled with Building Purchase. Client agrees to inform Sheds By Design of the need for Anchor package, Ramp, or any other upgrade requests they wish to add to the order, at purchase! If Ramps and Anchor packages are not bundled with the Original Sale, and requested after the building has been installed in Client’s yard, a minimum $149 trip charge will apply!
FREE Concrete Blocks! We recommend a LEVEL Site (Level ground, gravel, or concrete pad) We provide the concrete blocks for ground or gravel bases. Sheds are leveled from the highest point of the ground, using a minimum size block of (4”), and blocked up as the ground slopes down. We will block and level up to 12” on the low side of the ground! Beyond a 12” slope, labor and block charges will apply. PLEASE NOTE! When there is a slope, order your building with door placements to be on the higher side of the ground for ease of access!
Client agrees they will ensure a clear and accessible path to the Shed Installation Site. No trees, branches, wires, fences, narrow gates, vehicles, HVAC units, waterlogged soil, or any other obstacles or issues blocking or preventing shed delivery.
If there is a narrow access such as a gate, or trees on property, we recommend at least 3’ ft more clearance than the width of the building, on both sides, to pass through. If you are concerned about property access, it is your responsibility to consult with a Sheds-By-Design Sales Representative who can confirm site access for your building. Delivery Specialists have the discretion to stop installation if they feel it is unsafe, or they are unable to continue to navigate a prefab structure in place. If there is a situation that prevents a delivery and requires a second trip, a minimum re-delivery charge of $299 will be added to the balance due.
It is the Clients responsibility to choose the optimal location on the property for Shed Install. Make sure your chosen location is not directly over a septic drain field. Also ensure that the location is back from property lines, or other right-of-ways such as power lines, gas lines, etc. If we are directed to install and level a building in a bad site, and then contacted to come and relocate and relevel the building, a minimum $299 Relocate / Relevel charge will apply.
Cancellations. If the buyer cancels a cash sale purchase within 3 business days they can receive a full refund of the deposit but please note, refunds depending on merchant policies and bank policies may take 12-15 business days to refund and post back to your account. If a customer cancels from 4-20 business days, 15% material restocking charge of the Total Retail Purchase Amount will be deducted from any refund. If Client cancels the purchase from 21-60 + business days, a 25% material restocking charge of the Total Retail Purchase Amount will be deducted from any refund!! Cancellations over 60 days from ordered / reserved buildings will incur a 35% restocking charge. After the restocking fee has been deducted, any remaining funds owed back to the Client will be issued within 12-15 business days. Minimum 1 Month Payment Down Rent To Own / Finance sales are non refundable per Rent To Own and Finance Company Policy.
Payment Methods. We accept Cash, Personal Checks, Cashiers Checks, Money Orders, ACH / E-Checks & Debit Cards & at no cost to customers! This gets you the best posted cash buy prices! To keep our costs LOW for cash buyers, we do NOT incorporate credit card merchant card fees into the posted shed prices! We accept ALL credit cards, however, If a customer opts to use a credit card a 3% merchant fee will be ADDED to the transaction – This fee goes directly from the customer to the Credit Card Merchants (Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Visa etc) 3% Merchant fees will also be added to rent to own payments made with a credit card!
Rent-To-Own and Finance Sales ONLY 1 PAYMENT DOWN UP FRONT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE MOST STOCK BUILDINGS OR CUSTOM ORDER BUILDINGS! 1 PAYMENT DOWN APPLIES TO BUILDINGS UP TO $15,000. 2 payments required down on buildings $15,001 and over. Buildings delivered over 100 miles from our build shop sold on the rent to own program require a minimum 10% down payment and regular first months pmt up front. Two payments down required for all animal shelters. Rent-To-Own monthly payments are due approx 30 days AFTER the day of installation! Rent to Own contracts & Finance Terms have a No Penalty early payoff customers may exercise at any time to buy the building outright! Finance Sales payments may start 30 days from approved application and down payment, or 30 days from delivered building depending on which finance company is used.
Cash Sale Custom Order or In Stock Sheds Payment On Delivery Cash sales require 50% Deposit to Order and 50% Balance Due At Installation! Balances are (POD) Paid-On-Delivery! Delivery Specialists are authorized to collect payments for balances at installation! Please make arrangements to pay the day of installation! Keep in mind large transactions on credit or debit cards may be over your bank’s usual daily limit or may be flagged as an unusually large transaction for review – consider calling your bank, credit union, or credit card company in advance and letting them know you plan to run a large transaction on a debit or credit card. I have read and Understood the POD (Payment On Delivery) Policy for Cash Sales, I will make arrangements to pay on the day of installation or if Rent to Own / Finance sale I will sign the delivery confirmation slip! The PRIMARY BUYER is the person whose name is listed on the invoice, and we recommended that the primary buyer be present during install! If the primary buyer chooses not to be present at install, and has someone other than themselves oversee and approve the shed installation (their agent) we are not responsible for the primary buyer returning later and being unsatisfied with the placement of the building in the yard! Avoid putting ANYONE in charge of directing Delivery Specialists where to install your building but YOU to avoid having to request a relocation / relevel of your building! We care about your safety, During shed installation DO NOT ASSIST DELIVERY SPECIALIST WITH ANY PART OF SHED INSTALL! Let the professionals do their jobs! Never stand in front, behind, or beside moving buildings or equipment! Do not enter the building until the installer completes the install. Stay 50’ feet away, at all times, from the Buildings, Trucks, Trailers, Mule Machines, Jacks, etc. Stay within line-of-sight of the Delivery Specialist if you are outside your home observing the installation! It is your responsibility to keep yourself, household persons, children & pets a safe distance away from the prefab shed being installed, at all times. Children & Pets should be kept in the house during the entire building installation.
